Our History

1 Ace St. is home to Sagamore Mill No. 3, a historic textile mill in Fall River, Massachusetts. The mill was originally built in 1908 and is one of the few mills built "below the hill". It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Sagamore Mill No. 3 was a part of the Sagamore Mills Company that was established in 1872 with Louis L. Barnard as the first president. Unfortunately, the company failed in 1879, and was reorganized as the Sagamore Manufacturing Company. The Sagamore Manufacturing Company continued to operate until the 1960s, when the company closed down and sold off the three mill buildings. It was later occupied by Trina Manufacturing, Inc., the company that placed the iconic letters on the roof.

In June of 2021, the building was purchased by 1 Ace Street LLC. The new ownership is investing in refurbishing the common areas, including the stairways and hallways. A new roof with solar panels is currently being installed. There are also plans for new exterior landscaping, new pavement, improved lighting, renovation of 14 bathrooms and new windows around the whole building.

Today, Sagamore Mill No. 3 is home to 40 businesses, varying from e-commerce, textile manufacturing, screen printing, wholesalers, cut and stitch workrooms, professionals and more.
